One day in 2004 Herbert Sello heard an advert on radio Thobela FM was looking for an actor.
He went to try his luck and got the job! Now Herbert has become a popular radio and television programme researcher as well.
He's the Thobela FM education programs researcher such as Learner Support, Health Issues, Finance, Science and Technology, Civic Education, Educator Developer, Teen Zone and Youth ke yona. He also did research for SABC 1 television drama series Skeem Saam, set in the small town of Turfloop, Limpopo.
Now he's working on a documentary about a disadvantaged rural community in Limpopo where there was no phone network and the people there believes a tree situated in the village guides them.
He was born and brought up in a rural Mohwelere Ga-Mashabela near Sekhukhune Limpopo. His radio career kicked off in 2004 when he got a role on the Thobela FM drama-ke kwele, which means, I've heard enough.
Shortly after venturing into radio drama, I got a job as a newsreader on the Lebowakgomo Community Radio in 2005. 2007 I was awarded best program of the year " My Destiny" then everything started noticing me. He also played a role for establishment of Mahlakung( well-known soap at Thobela FM )
