Conny Matjipa was born in Namakgale 18 0CT0BER 1976 ,phalaborwa.She is the the first born in the family of four children .She started schooling at Rethabile primary school and passed matric in 1996 and continued with my studies at DAMELIN COLLEGE (PERSONNEL AND TRAINING MANAGEMENT),UNISA(HUMAN RESOURCES LEVEL 7).

When I was still at school my dream was to be social worker but because of the passion for sports I changed my mind that I can make a living through sports commentary I love football wholeheartedly ,my family was sports fanatic my uncles played football Luka ‘”PELE’’ CHEPAPAE AND and Masilo ‘’TIGER unfortunate they both died .

IN 1999 I joined SABC I was the happiest person because I was the first woman to be employed as a sports commentator because the job was previously male dominated.My first match on air was between Orlando Pirates and Manning Rangers from there I never look back in 2000 I was chosen (SAB BEST NEWCOMER2000 ),LIMPOPO HALL OF FAME AWARD 2002 given by the former premier of Limpopo Province Ngoako Ramathlodi,AND CASTLE SPORTS COMMENTATOR OF THE YEAR 2006.
