Happiness Maake is a down to earth person who likes spending time reading or watching tv. As I was growing as a boy I had thought of either becoming a teacher or a radio presenter. At my completion of matric I could not further my studies due to financial constraints and one erstwhile teacher of mine got me employed at Mamabolo Itireleng Adult Centre as tutor where I taught for 3 years. In 1997 I then joined Turf Community Radio based in the University of Limpopo (Turfloop Campus) and worked there as a presenter/producer and a news reader. While I was still at radio Turf I enrolled with the University of Limpopo in 2001 for a degree in Media Studies which I completed in 2005 after some break in 2002 due to financial problems.

During my stay at radio Turf I was involved in organizing workshops and work-shopping aspiring presenters and producers most of whom radio Turf also later employed. My long service with the station equipped me with so much radio experience that I even became executive producer and later the station’s programme manager. In 2006 March I was employed by SABC Current Affairs where I worked for a year as a presenter/producer. In 2007 I terminated my contract with SABC current affairs and joined Thobela FM as a presenter/producer for a midday Tabakgolo talk show – the show in which my service successfully spanned for four years.

Due to the need to further my studies I was, per request, moved from the midday talk show in the middle of 2011 to host an evening infotainment programme called Moremogolo to afford me chance to focus on my studies. Now, in parallel to hosting this show, I am also studying for my Honours degree in Media Studies with the University of Limpopo. The show Moremogolo deals oftenly with problematic issues that are mostly overlooked into the communities or society with the ultimate goal of finding solutions to them, while as well there is a provision of entertainment through music on the show.
